Born into humble beginnings, Atty. Edgardo G. Villarin’s path to success was marked by hard work, determination, and resilience. Coming from a financially strapped family, he worked tirelessly to support his education. As a young student, he made ends meet by shining shoes and selling street beverages like “samalamig” (gulaman and sago).
Driven by a desire to rise above his circumstances, Atty. Ed set his sights on becoming a lawyer. Throughout law school, he juggled his studies with a part-time job as a classroom instructor at Immaculate Concepcion Academy in Makati. In order to save money for his law books, he would often walk the long distance to the University of Santo Tomas in Sampaloc, Manila.
Like the protagonist of an inspiring story, Atty. Ed’s perseverance paid off. He rose to the top of his class and earned his law degree in 1970, a hard-earned achievement that marked the beginning of an illustrious legal career.
Over the years, Atty. Ed built a reputation as one of the most respected and sought-after lawyers in Nueva Ecija. He has represented a wide array of prominent clients, including influential business leaders, politicians, and key figures in the banking industry. His commitment to his clients and his passion for the law have made him a pillar of the legal community in the province.
